Borrowing its 4.0-liter flat-six from the 992 GT3 Cup, the 718 GT4 RS came delivered with a serious motorsports pedigree. In order to satisfy worldwide regulations and meet production deadlines, certain components of the platform left performance and sound on the table. That’s what we’ve aimed to maximize.
Our Race Exhaust Package tackles the biggest bottlenecks we found in the factory exhaust system. Those being the over axle pipes and the rear muffler. The over axle pipes house a redundant cat core along with a particulate filter that is empty on North American cars, allowing for an immediate transformation upon replacement of that component in particular. Our Competition Over Axle Pipes employ oval tubing for a full 3″ diameter and eliminate those corks in the flow to deliver the greatest flow into the rear muffler.
Porsche carried over the GT4’s rear muffler to the GT4 RS, restricting the flow path to the same diameter as the GT4 despite the increased engine output. Our Race Exhaust System utilizes a single flowpath that maintains a 3” diameter all the way through the tips. Our Resonated version with anti-drone tubes helps to reduce unwanted frequencies, while our Non-Resonated version is the ultimate lightweight solution for maximum sound from the GT4 RS.
Each system is assembled in-house in the USA out of mandrel-bent, thick-walled wall .065″” T304L stainless steel. Back purged TIG welding (with ARCAL™ Prime argon gas) ensures proper weld penetration and longevity. We water jet cut the flanges to ISO 9001:2015 standards, maintaining tolerances of +/- 0.003 inches for extreme precision. We fabricate these over axle pipes using thick-gauge aluminum fixtures. Which acts as a great heat sink during the welding process and prevents warping not only of our products. But the fixtures themselves are to ensure perfect fitment.
Our team rigorously quality-checks every component. Tests it in a fixture to guarantee proper fitment, and foam-packs it to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. We also include new high-grade hardware for installation.
